On Sunday, we all went to downtown Buffalo to have breakfast before heading back up to the mountain. We had breakfast at the Busy Bee, which is a restaurant that Dad and Brian used to visit with my great grandfather.
We also stopped by the Occidental Hotel, which has been around since the turn of the century.
Shortly after reaching the cabin, we took off to see the canyon on the property and to the creek to fish. We spent about 5 hours fishing and chilling out creek-side before stopping by a neighboring property for a great view.
When we got back to the cabin, we began preparing dinner. Tracy and I prepared and Uncle Brian cooked corn on the cob, steak, and the fresh rainbow trout we'd caught.
Finally, we orchestrated a fireworks show from the fireworks Dad bought in town. I was extremely reticent to participate.... too many public service announcements as a child, perhaps???... but after watching for a bit, I even set off a few too.
