The glacier pics are wonderful - and I'm wondering why we'd bother with a cruise when we can come there and do all the things we wanted to...something to consider. Sorry you've got a nasty cold - try to stay warm and dry! Hopefully your little 4th grade angels will be good for you!
Stayed warm and dry... inside (and mostly in bed) all day. Some of the stuff in my chest is breaking up, which is unpleasant, but good.
There really is a lot to do up here. It's pretty expensive to go on the trips, but I think that's true when you add them onto a cruise too. The 8.5 hour cruise of the Fjords was 160-ish per person, including lunch and dinner. So, I guess not that pricey, but they add up quickly. We were supposed to go fishing, but apparently the salmon fishing isn't great right now. We chose not to go :( --really I chose that-- They would have taken us halibut fishing, but I just wanted to fish for salmon. Oh well, next year.
