This was mostly sufficient to get kids to chose not to play with spit balls (and yes, I separated germs and bacteria for effect).I also told them about the perils of playing with straws (up the nose) and pen casing (ink in the mouth).
I predict a spit ball-less future for our class.

ReplyDeleteAlso it might be noted that the accuracy of spitwads is iffy, at best, which often lands the spitt-er in even greater peril of punishment due to collateral damage.
