Mom's pictures have arrived! A true Alaska tourist photo to get us started... a stuffed grizzly bear. (This was at Gwennie's Old Alaskan Restaurant.) More to follow :)
Tourist-y to the point that this is a WISHING WELL! The bear is surrounded by water that people have tossed coins into. Anchorange definitely caters to the "tourist" in us - with stuffed polar bears (taxidermied types like this one) and giant stuffed puffins (like a 5' toy) on the street outside shops. I likened it to the carving of the native American in downtown Scottsdale.
